How to Make Tabouli


Tabouli is one of the most popular Lebanese dish. Traditional tabouli is a parsley salad with some bulgur. Some tabouli recipes like this one-use parsley, bulgur and green onions while others do not add to it bulgur.

Here are the ingredients:
  • 5 Bouquets of Parsley washed and dried
  • 1 Bouquet of Mint
  • 4 Medium Tomatoes
  • 2 Green Onion if available
  • ½ Cup of Burgul
  • ¾ Cup of Olive oil
  • 2 Lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Pepper, added to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt, added to taste

Here are the steps:
  1. Wash the bulgur well and place in a small bowl.
  2. Chop the parsley and mint papers well, then water the two of them.
  3. Wash tomatoes and cut them into small pieces.
  4. Peel the onions and cut into small cubes.
  5. Add the bulgur to the chopped vegetables and mix well.
  6. Juice the fresh lemon and pour it over the mixture.
  7. Add to the mixture the salt, pepper and olive oil.

If you love pomegranate juice, you can add a tablespoon to the mixture. You can decorate the plate with cabbage and lettuce leaves.
